What is an adverb?

While doing his homework, Josephus asked me, "What is an adverb?" I could not remember for the life of me. I could picture my ninth grade English teacher talking about them, but that is all I could remember. I told him to look it up in the dictionary and let me know what it says. Well, an adverb (as explained by my 8 year old) is a word that describes a verb, for example, noisily. It is a sad day when my child is teaching me grammar. Air likes to tease me that it is because of my small town upbringing. I have my own theory.

I spoke with my good friend Lena today. She has 6 kids. She is my mentor and taught me how to really enjoy motherhood. Those of us with big families need to stick together. Lena and I have this theory that pregnancy kills brain cells and the more pregnancies you experience the more brain cells you loose. Air doesn't believe us, but then again, he's never been pregnant.

I'm a little bit nervous writing a blog for people to actually read. Please over look any spelling or grammatical errors. I'm sure that if my friend in Manhattan, who is a technical writer, corrected my blog it would be covered in red marks. I should have listened more in ninth grade English class, then again, maybe I did and lost it all while I was pregnant.

Lena, you know I love you. It is so fun to have someone to laugh with. Let's face it, at times, being a Mom is hilarious, even if you and I are the only ones laughing.

Before you write off child birth, consider the source. I've got to blame my diminished brain power on something. My hair is getting darker with age, so I can't blame it on my blonde hair anymore. Why not blame pregnancy?
