We decided to take away Vanessa's binky on Saturday since we both would be home for the weekend. She was only fussy around naptime and bedtime. It was easier to take away than I thought it would be. I think parents are more addicted to pacifiers than babies are. I admit they make a nice plug. All of our kids have used a binky. My reasoning is, you can't take a thumb away and I have been terrified of having a thumb sucker. It is cute when they are babies, but not cute when they are six and still sucking their thumbs. We are now out of the baby stage of life and well into the toddler stage. I hope I have enough energy to keep up.

Just wondering what you did. Brooklyn who is almost 2 1/2 still takes her binky. So I threaten to take it away all the time, but can't seem to do it. What was your secret?
