For the past six years, the Rawlings family has shared Thanksgiving with us. It is part of the tradition. Aaron loves to cook Thanksgiving dinner (I say, all the more power to him). He goes all out. We need them to come help eat the food so we don't have so many left overs that they won't fit into the fridge. After dinner, Aaron & Roger watch the football games while Charlene & I go through the shopping adds to scout out our early shopping for the next morning. The kids play great together. We will think of them every Thanksgiving for the rest of our lives.

Since we won't be here for Thanksgiving, we had the Rawlings over for dinner last night. It was our Texas Anniversary party. It was fun to celebrate with them. Again, Aaron went all out. Instead of turkey, we had fajitas, beans, fresh salsa, and tortillas. It's hard to say good-bye to such good friends. For 10 years, we have been 1700 miles away from our families, but in so many ways we have family right here.
