In Texas, when I heard the song "Let it Snow" I would giggle. Now, I just cringe.The boys are happy they are able to drink hot chocolate for breakfast. Hot Chocolate just didn't serve the same purpose in Texas.
I heard that in the South Texas this week the highs are in the 80's. Today in SLC it will warm up to the mid 20's. Sometimes I ask myself, "What are we doing here?"
The day we moved from Texas, it was over 100 degrees and the humidity was near 98%. Ethan was complaining that it felt like a hot Texas oven. A few days ago, he told me it was too cold here and he wanted to go back to the Hot Texas Oven. After driving the boys to school this morning on snow packed roads for the first time in 11 years, I have to agree.

It's only about 10 degrees warmer in Texas right now than in Utah. If you take into consideration the wind chill, its only 3 degrees warmer in Texas than in Utah. IT'S REALLY COLD!!!
Thank you. I have to remind myself that it isn't always warm and sunny in Texas. I felt happy hearing that you all are cold as well, until I remembered that your cold spell will last a few days. Ours will last a few months.
Well, luckily, I'll enjoy about 5 weeks of it along with you. Just to help you feel better. :)
Be sure to pack all the warm clothes you have and than some.
