Graduations

Aaron's sister, Lauren, graduated from high school last week. We are proud of her and look forward to her attending Utah State in the fall. (This means she will be 15 minutes closer to us and easier for Aaron to interview any guy she starts to date seriously). We also attended Esteban's 5th grade graduation and awards assembly. It didn't involve as much pomp and circumstance as high school graduation or kindergarten graduation in Texas, to which Aaron and I were very grateful. It is off to middle school next year for him. It is the end of an era for each of them. They both move on to bigger and better things.

I know you were probably joking about interviewing potential serious guys for your sister-in-law, but if you know his name and a few other tidbits you can get a complete background check on the internet. You should at least google him, you can get a lot of information that way, at least verify what he has said. After a friend of mine was engaged to a guy that turned out he wasn't who he said he was (luckily she found out before the wedding), I'm way more likely to do it for my kids, even if they get mad at me.

I think it used to be a joke, but in this day and age, I'm serious. I think a background check isn't such a bad idea.

I googled my name once only to find a husband beater with the same name so, I'll be careful about using that route.
