Swimming Lessons
This summer, I signed all 5 kids up for swimming lessons including Nessa in the water babies class. She loved swimming lessons except when she had to go under water. She does not like to get her face wet even in the bath tub. The teacher was great! I learned how to properly hold her in the water, how to teach her to float on her back, jump into the pool, and bob (this is not a person, this is the action of jumping up and down in the water).

AJ wasn't happy he had get into the big pool. He could barely touch the bottom. I think it was good for him to overcome his fear.
Ethan really should have been a fish. He loves to be under water. He asked me to take this picture of him.
Esteban was in the diving class. He learned some cool tricks.
It was a great addition to our summer vacation.

Swimming lessons are great! My kids took swimming lessons too. It was amazing how much they learned in such a short time.
Do you remember when we would go to the pool in Edinburg for swimming lessons? How exciting that the kids are enjoying the water, it is so good for them, they really surprise us with all they learn there. Jonah just passed the 4th level,(one more level to go, he loves it too), and Micah will be in the swimming team at the high school (we think it will be really good for him since being dignosed with JRA, swimming is one of the best forms of exercises).
I think swimming is great for everybody! In my opinion, every kid needs to learn to tie his shoes, ride a bike, and swim.
I didn't really learn to swim until after I was married. I feel like I'm giving my kids a head start.
