For those of you who live in areas where they play outdoor soccer year round, I will explain indoor soccer. It is much the same, although, the field is smaller. It is covered in turf so they don't wear cleats. The ball can be played off the wall. Often the players get slammed up against the wall giving it a feel of ice hockey/soccer. The ball is out of bounds if it touches the net that covers the outside of the entire field including the ceiling.

Indoor Soccer
Esteban and Ethan signed up for indoor soccer this winter. Ethan played in a couple of games before he broke his foot. He was devastated when he learned he was out for the rest of the season.
In order to score a goal the ball must go into a big box area. It is much smaller than a regular goal.
Only 5 players and a goalie are in at the same time. The game is faster paced than outdoor soccer. Esteban seemed enjoy the change of scenery on the soccer field. He played up with older kids and that was a good experience for him. His team won the championship game last Monday so he was really happy about that.
See the big blue blur in the above picture, that's my boy.

Where did you get a camera?
Hi Colette! I finally checked out your blog. I actually did more than check it out. I read almost every entry back to August. Once I get reading on someone's blog, I can't stop! I'm an addict. That would be okay except that it's christmas eve and I'm supposed to be cleaning my house for company tonight! Better get to work. I enjoyed catching up with your family on the blog though!
Arlynda-I got the camera by stealth. It is Aaron's company camera. He justified me using it because he used our personal camera for work a number of times. I still feel a bit guilty, I'm grateful that his boss doesn't read my blog.
Staci- It's great to hear from you. I read your blog and loved it! Thanks for sharing.
