Oh, Christmas Tree

A neighbor gave us a Christmas tree this year. He is a truck driver and there was one left over from a delivery so they gave it to him. His wife has severe allergies so, he asked us if we would take it. We love the aroma of real trees. There is nothing like the smell of pine this time of year.
The tree was bigger than we are used to. The lights we had didn't completely cover it. Esteban dug a little deeper to find some other lights we used around the house last year and added them to the tree as well. The angel on top of our tree is from Sarah, our friend from Texas, who helped us move in to our house last Christmas. The red bows on our tree came from the Christmas tree Aaron surprised me with in our first apartment the year we were married. All the other ornaments came from family or friends, homemade ornaments from school projects, and ornaments from my childhood. I gave up the idea of a beautiful aesthetic tree years ago. For me and my family we'll have the modge podge tree that is full of memories from years past. That's good enough for me.
