Happy Birthday Vanessa!

Yes, my little Nessa turned three years old recently. She still likes to make messes (she painted our bathroom wall with my lipstick and mascara last week) but, she also loves to cuddled just as much. I love her squishy hugs and slobery kisses.

She wanted a pink cake with orange frosting this year and so I made it, per her request.
If you notice, her cake has a few more candles than it should. I told her to stop after three. As usual, she ignored me and put in 15. Aaron pointed out that it is only 5 candles per year so it worked out fine. I wonder, who really blew out those candles?

We invited a few of her friends over for a birthday party. She wanted a snowman party just like Savanah and since we invited boys, it was better than having a princess party. Here they are having a snowball fight with crumpled paper towels that no longer resemble snowballs. Her favorite part of the party was opening the presents, of course. She had lots of helpers as they all wanted in on the action. She received a Disney Princess Vanity a few days later. (They are usually $80, a friend found it for only $30. I love good bargains and good friends who call when they find them). I left it out in the living room to give to her the next day. Well, she woke up earlier than usual and chewed holes around the edge in it in order to get it opened. Yes, I said chewed it, with her mouth, in order to get it open. When I told my aunt about it she responded, "At least she didn't get a knife." Point taken.
As I walked in the door from taking Esteban to school, she met me and said,"Mom, I'm chewing." I didn't know what she meant until I walked into the living room. This is what I found. The parts of the vanity, instructions, and wrapping spread all over the floor. (I imagine Savanah was standing next to her chanting "Chew. Chew. Chew." because she wanted it opened just as bad.)Well, I was able to find all of the pieces so I could assemble it. They both love playing with it.
This is my little princess dressed in all her beauty reading a book. She keeps me on my toes, but she is sooooo much fun. I am so grateful that she is part of our family.
Happy Birthday, Vanessa!!!

Colette that is so funny that Vanessa actually chewed her way into the box. The things they will do for their presents! I really enjoyed reading all of your posts. You make me feel guilty, I'm still back in January.

It is very funny that she chewed into the box. I also find it just weird.

Don't feel guilty. Her birthday is in January. I still have other posts from last month to write.
