This Old Barn

There is this nice old barn on our property. I few years ago when we tried to sell our house, there seemed to be more interest in the barn than the house. In fact, I wonder if we could have found a buyer for the barn if it sold separately from the house.

On several occasions I have had people mistake the barn for a house. For instance, one day I found an advertisement hanging on the door. Every house in the neighborhood had one, including our barn (Vanessa insisted on being in the picture.)

The barn is quite versatile. It is our garage, woodshop, storage space, chicken coop, and outdoor entertainment center. (Esteban moved a TV and couch up into the loft.) It also becomes a fortress whenever Esteban's friends come over for an air-soft battle.

Just FYI, those are screens from my windows they are using as shields. (Gotta love teenage boys.)

Our barn is many things and most of all it's ours.
