There were people from Summit Entertainment there watching the audience for recording devices. We were informed if we used a cell phone for any reason, we would be escorted out of the theater, no questions asked. It didn't matter because we weren't there to talk on the phone, we were there for the movie. We had really great seats (assigned seating so we didn't have to fight the crowd.) They precluded the trailers and handed out gift bags.

New Moon
A few weeks ago, Aaron told me he could get tickets to a New Moon pre-screen party in Salt Lake. He suggested we make a weekend out of it. I pointed out that I have to work the next day. Then, as the loving wife that I am, I said, "So, if we can't go, can I take Laurann?" The prospects were even better because he got 4 tickets. I was able to take two of my sister-in-laws who are also avid Twilight fans. With Laurann, Brenda, and Suzie, it proved to be the ultimate Girl's night out. We had a fun time at dinner and the movie. We were able watch it earlier than the midnight showing that people were lined up for and the 3 a.m. showing that was sold out. (Who goes to a movie at 3 a.m.?)

The bag had a warm raspberry chocolate bar named Jacob, a cool mint chocolate bar named Edward, and Sweethearts Forbidden Fruit candy with special Twilight messages. We paid extra for the New Moon plastic cup.
They also threw out calendars and t-shirts. Of course, we didn't get one. (Bad luck must be genetic.) They gave a cut-out to the person who read the book the most times. Some poor woman admitted publicly she had read the book SIX times. That's like saying, "I have no life and I neglect my kids more than I should." I think Laurann was willing to admit anything publicly in order to take Edward home.
I have to say, I've been Team Edward but after this movie, I'm really thinking about switching. In reality, I will forever be Team Aaron. He is my best friend and lover. He is my sunshine and my protector. I can be with him forever and remain human. Who needs a vampire or a werewolf? I have it all.
