Presidential

Last week we went to Esteban's awards ceremony at school. It started half an hour late after a medical emergency in the audience. Then we listened to the principal and politicians go on and on. When they finally gave out the awards, they were in alphabetical order. That means...well, those of you who know our last name, know exactly what that means. We were in for the long haul. I told Aaron I should have married someone whose name started with an "A". He responded than my kids would be in the dumb kids group. (Is he insinuating that our kids get their smarts only from him?)
Esteban's award was signed by no other than the President of the United Sates of America, Barak Obama.
Esteban was not impressed.
Like the guy or not, he's still the President of the United States. I don't have a single paper signed by the president. (That still doesn't mean that our kids got all their smarts from Aaron.)

He played soccer this week in Heber. He scored a point for his team.
Then spent the rest of the game being double-teamed. They ended up losing the game.
It wasn't all bad. Jace, my cute-cute nephew, came to the game. How could anyone feel sad when they have this little guy cheering them on?
Esteban has been a referee for recreational soccer this season. He claims it's pretty easy. The kids don't really foul at that age. They trip each other a lot but it's never intentional. His only complaint is that it's kind of boring. I informed him that what you call a JOB and jobs are not meant to be fun.
Maybe his next job will be President of the United States of America. Then he can spend his time signing awards.
