The Pacific Ocean

We went to the coast on the Saturday of our vacation. I loved this lighthouse. I have this thing with lighthouses and so does my sister, so maybe it's genetic. We went to the Sea Lion Caves. We saw hundred of sea lions and smelled everyone of them. The stench was almost unbearable, but the boys didn't seem to notice. I took this picture then noticed the Do Not Climb on Statue sign. Oops!
We went to the beach. Everybody else had on jackets and long pants. The reason is, it was freezing. I just came from Texas, we only think about jackets for one week in the middle of January, not July, so I didn't pack any warm clothes. This did not stop the boys from jumping in. It was not as warm as the Gulf of Mexico, or as smelly as the Great Salt Lake (see post dated 7-15-06). It was nice and now the boys can say they've seen both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans.

Seeing the picture of the lighthouse makes me excited. We are now planning our Oregon Coast trip and we will be seeing that lighthouse. Thanks for sharing your pictures. It is fun to see what other people see.

I know you all will take a better picture of it than I did. I didn't have my digital zoom on so, I didn't get a good picture. Can't wait to see your version of the Oregon Coast.
