IHOP

AJ likes to read, but he has some issues with finishing chapter books. He gets halfway through one book, then starts another, and begins reading a different book before he finishes that one. He decided he wanted to read the first Harry Potter book. I told him when he finished it, we would take the family to IHOP. You see, on our trip to the northwest this summer, we stayed in a hotel with a nearby IHOP. We took the kids to eat there one night. It was the first sit-down-and-order restaurant they've ever been to. They loved it and have wanted to go back again ever since. Well, it proved to be a great motivator for AJ and he finished the book. Yesterday, we made a trip for IHOP. We all had fun stuffing our bellies. The kids liked sampling all the different syrups and I just love breakfast food. AJ started the second book and looks forward to eating at IHOP when he finishes. I didn't know that was part of the deal, but I guess it is.
