Most of the women in our neighborhood have jobs where they can work at home such as billing services, medical transcriptions, and selling make-up or crafts . They are all incredible women who work hard and understand the benefits that come from being at home with their children.
I met one woman, for instance, that likes to scrapbook, just like me. Only, she designs pages for a scrapbooking company after her kids go to bed. Her pages are published in national magazines. She travels all over the country to teach scrapbooking seminars. She wasn't even bragging she was just stating the facts. Then, I felt that I had to admit the facts, that I don't really scrapbook. I just take pictures to scrapbook at some later time. I'm a wanna-be-scrapbooker. I asked for the bits of paper in her garbage can. She just laughed but, I was serious.
I started to feel that maybe I wasn't ambitious enough to help earn the income in our family. Then I realized, I really do have a second job, and third, fourth, and even a fifth job (it's the biggest one of all). I don't have time for another job on the side. I guess it is part of having four-n-more children, and I'm just fine with that.

I just thought I would tell you that I find it really admirable and fascinating how you choose to place your motherhood ahead of any other life endevor. Norma
Thank you for your kind words. The way I look at it, I've got the rest of my life to do the other things. Right now is my one chance to be a mom. Hopefully, I don't mess it up too much.
Hey, Colette. I've read your blog off and on for a while, just haven't taken the time to respond. I really liked this post, I think I understand how you feel.
Thank you for the comment. Congrats on the new baby girl! I think those of us full-time moms need to stick together. We're the only ones that really know what it's like. As you well know, some days we need more encouragment than others.
