Universal Bummer

Okay, I admit even I'm getting sick of hearing about this trip. Only a few more, I promise. I have to record these details before they are forgotten.

We went to Universal Studios one day.
I have to say it was a bit of a disappointment. We weren't that impressed for some reason. The lines were long for mediocre rides. Everything else was kinda blah. I kept wondering if we were missing something.

Vanessa wasn't even excited to see her favorite character Scooby Doo. She said said he made her feel shy.
The views of the city were nice.
She wanted to go on the water playground and promised to stay in the areas where it was dry. Turns out there aren't any dry areas on the playground.
She was sopping wet and soon freezing.

Driving there lead us near the Hollywood sign, downtown LA, and let us get a taste of the notorious LA traffic. Other than that, not much else to say.

I am not sick of it, I love hearing all about your trip.

We loved Universal, weird how everyone has their fun days and bad days. Then again when we went there was NO lines and we rode everything atleast 5 fives!!

Did you do Shrek in 3D? That was GREAT!

Wow, you've been a busy blogger! I'll have to send Bryan to your blog. He grew up in southern Cal and has NEVER been to Universal Studios! He wants to take the kids one of these trips to visit his family. I went when I was little and thought it was great. Back then they were doing E.T. (that dates me!) and I wanted SO BADLY to be the person they called out of the audience to be in the scene where he rides the bike up into the sky. I also remember some ride there where the bridge "collapses" and you almost fall in to the running river below. I also remember the smell of my chapstick I had on that trip :) Okay, I've said too much...
