Luckily, we were able to get him a new pair of glasses. We were all happier when Ethan could see again.
Because we waited for the doctor's appointment, we got a late start to the day. In fact, by the time it was time for us to go to Sea World it was raining. I mean pouring rain. You know that didn't stop us. We're not ones to give in. As everybody else was leaving the park due to the rain, we were arriving. Sure we were a little wet but that's okay, again, anything is better than snow. We headed first to a indoor helicopter ride and by the time we were out, The rain had stopped. Just a little while later, the sun was shining and the park was a lot less crowded.
So, I have a thing for the Shamu show. I'm a huge Shamu fan. I'll share only a few of the photos I took. I literally watched the show through my camera lens.
Aaron and the girls enjoyed doing the "Shamu, Shamu" chant trying to get the orca to splash us. Shamu responded to their request.
We didn't get wet (that is fine by me). I hate wearing wet clothes. Which is why I chose to be the photographer while Aaron and the kids went on this ride.
We watched one of the other shows. We went inside the tunnel into the shark's lair.
Esteban got a feel of shark teeth.
There are lots of other animals to see at Sea World as well. Here are just a few.
This sea lion was the boys favorite. They claim it reminds them of Dad with his balding head and fat rolls. (Gotta love teenaged boys!)
I finally gave in and rode the Atlantis ride with the kids. The boys told me there were two major drop offs. I knew about the one and waited for the other through the whole ride. Turns out they were messing with me.
By the end of the day, we all felt like this.
