Wild Animals

The night before we left for California it started to snow and snowed all night. We loaded the van while walking through several inches of snow. We drove on snowy roads for the first 6 hours. After all the snow, then driving through the desert, the green southern California follage was a beautiful sight. We arrived on Thursday after 12 long hours in the car (It's still only half the distance to South Texas so I'm not complaining.).

We were up early on Friday morning for our first destination.
The first exhibit we wanted to see was the pandas. First of all, they are really cool. Secondly, they are really popular and we wanted to beat the crowds.
AJ did a report on Pandas recently. He was so happy to finally see one of his favorite animals of all time. We all wanted to take one home for a pet.
We also enjoyed the polar bear exhibit. Vanessa found a little friend. I think he wanted to take her home for a pet.
AJ and the girls found a hideout.
We walked and walked and walked all day except for Vanessa who discovered a great mode of transportation.
Savanah was wishing she could find transportation other than her own two feet.
The animals were amazing! It is always fun to look at the variety of Heavenly Father's creatures. Here are just a sample of the animals we saw at the zoo.
I'll throw in a few photos of my own "wild animals"
By the end of the day, we all felt exactly like this.

Could that be any cuter of Vanessa on Esteban's shoulders?? What a sweet brother! (By the way, have you noticed that he's taller than you? :) I love the one of her asleep too, so cute!
