The boys didn't have school today. I have no idea why. The neighboring school district had a holiday this past Monday. Their reasoning, Superbowl Sunday. I guess this only happens in Texas where football is king, even if the Cowboys aren't playing.
I really enjoy having them home. We took it easy today. It's nice to have a fun and relaxing day. Tomorrow we have yardwork to do. Remember when your parents came up with work projects to do? I'm grateful my parents taught me the value of hard work, even if at the time I didn't like it. I'm finding that making life miserable for your kids is part of being a parent. I'm sure they'll thank me for it someday. Even if they don't, at least my yardwork gets done.
