Aaron and I celebrated our sixteenth wedding anniversary this year. That means a kid born the year we were married would now be driving a car. (That makes me feel old.) Since I was sixteen years old when we met that also means I have known Aaron half my life.
It sometimes hits me how young we were when we got married. I had turned 19 only a few days earlier. Aaron was 21 and only home from his mission for 9 months. We were poor in money and rich in faith. We knew we were meant for each other. We absolutely knew it was right for us to be married. We jumped into life with both feet. We were young but all that means is that we grew up together. We have no regrets.
I look back at all that we have been through in the last 16 years years. I would not trade a thing. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways. I will be ever grateful for all the experiences good and bad, that we have shared with each other. I wonder what the next 16 years will bring. As long as we have each other and the Lord, we can do anything.

Happy Anniversary
Aaron and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary on December 17th. He surprised me by taking me out on a date. We drove around the Temple where we were married and talked about the feelings we felt that day thirteen years ago. It is so wonderful to remember things together. Our love has grown so much since then and I am so grateful for him in my life. We talked of our experiences since then. It is amazing all that we have been through together. I am who I am today in part because of Aaron. Anyway, I could go on forever about how much I love him.
He then surprised me by taking me shopping for a new camera! YEAH!!! It is a birthday/anniversary/Christmas gift. (I love having all three major events so close together.)
Now, I feel like I'm back in the blog business except I haven't had time to sit at the computer for days. I have a lot of catching up to do. So, stay posted.

Party Week
I think in every family there is a certain time of year when they are bombarded by celebrations. For our family, it is this week. It all started last week with my sister, Monica's birthday on the 11th, followed by mine on the 13th. My parent's celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on the 15th. 40 years is amazing by today's standards. They are amazing parents. We spent the day with all of my family in the Temple. After that we all went to lunch. Then, Aaron and I started Christmas shopping.
Aaron's brother, Mike and his wife, Melanie, were married two years ago on the 16th. Today, December 17, is our 13th wedding anniversary. Even 13 years is amazing by today's standards. I love my husband and am so grateful that we were married all those years ago. In someways it seems like yesterday. We were just kids when we were married. I look at all we have been through and I am grateful for all of our blessings, especially the five that we call children.
My nephew, Wyatt, was born today. He is Austin & Alysha's child number four. He and Alysha are both doing well. I can't wait to meet him. Tomorrow is Savanah's much anticipated 5th birthday. It has been a long, hard wait for her. I hope after all the anticipation, it isn't a let down. So, there you have the busiest time of year for our family and it all happens a week before Christmas. Don't we know how to have fun!
