Grandma?

A few weeks ago, we visited our dear friend Sandra. We attended the blessing of her baby girl. Sandra is more than a friend. She is like a daughter.  Aaron and I were with her in the temple as she was sealed to her parents and Aaron was a witness in her wedding. Therefore, if she is my "daughter" and she has a baby, does that make me a grandma?
I just love Alfredo and feel overwhelming gratitude that he is part of our family. The kids consider Nora part of our family too. Before we left to see them, Vanessa asked me what Nora would look like. I told her baby Nora would  have dark hair. She replied, "You mean like dirty blonde?"
As I held little Nora, named after Sandra's mom, I felt the love that her mom has for her grandaughter. It was a wonderful experience. It made me realize that maybe being a grandma wouldn't be so bad.

It's a BOY!

My friend Jana gave birth to a healthy and happy baby boy this morning. They did not find out what they were having so he came as a surprise.

I love holding newborn babies. For those of you wondering, no, it does not make me baby hungry. I am perfectly content holding other people's newborns. For some reason Jana didn't want to have a picture of her in a hospital gown posted on the world-wide-web. (I can't imagine why.) She had just been through over 12 hours of labor and had only 4 hours of sleep in the last 36 hours. Here is a cute picture of little Remington with all of his blond hair.

Congrats to Jana, Chad, and Remington!
