My boys were building a ramp at the bottom of the hill next to my parent's house so that when they slid down the hill, they could catch air.
Jumping snow sleds is such a "boy" thing to do.

One day we were there it snowed really hard.
The boys were happy. I told Aaron that is part of the father's responsibility to play with the kids outside in the snow. I just love delegating!
Vanessa & Savanah lasted 5 minutes before they had enough.

The kids enjoyed drinking hot chocolate when they came in from the snow. This is my favorite part of a snowstorm, drinking hot chocolate while watching it snow from inside the warm house.

Our niece, Gracie begged us to go to her grandfather's ranch to feed his cows. The kids enjoyed riding on the hay bales behind the tractor. It's like we've been living in the city for the past 10 years. I felt like a tourist snapping pictures right and left, but I have to admit it was more fun than I thought it would be.

The kids liked the way the cows followed the tractor to get to the hay.

Each of the kids were able to name a newborn calf.
Ethan named this calf, Bob because he likes that name.

This is the calf that Esteban named Vince,
for Vince Young, the Texas' quaterback.
The calf's ear tag was #10, Vince's jersey
number. How appropriate!
My brother-in-law, Jared, just told me he named another cow after me. Hopefully it goes better this time. The last cow he named after me couldn't get pregnant. Now, isn't that ironic.
I can't believe I am posting pictures of cattle on my blog.
