I visited my mom last week while Aaron returned to Texas on a business trip. He enjoyed returning to the Valley and seeing several of our friends and acquaintances, not to mention a quick trip to Mexico. Esteban and I helped my dad on the farm. I took pictures, but I'm not finished with the roll of film yet so I'll write a post about it later.
The boys didn't want to return home with me on Friday and my mom offered to keep them overnight. Of course, Savanah had to stay with her brothers so I returned to Salt Lake with only one, Vanessa. I picked up Aaron and we went car shopping since we didn't have all the kids with us. We've decide since he is commuting and working in the office we no longer need the truck and would enjoy getting better gas mileage. While shopping, I soon realized that it would be easier to shop with the other four kids together than Vanessa alone. Chasing her around a car lot is not for the faint of heart.
My mom brought the rest of the kids down on Saturday. She had called me earlier in the week to ask me if we would use their theater tickets (my dad couldn't go with her) and she would watch the kids while we went. I have to wonder, did she really think I would say no? It was hard to contain my excitement.
There is this cool little theater here close by that I have been to several times. It was Aaron's first time. The stage is is the middle of the room and all the seats are built up around it. The production was a lot of fun and we both loved it. I can't tell you how nice it was to go out on a date. My mom is wonderful and I appreciate all that she does for us.
There you have it, my travel log and excuse for not writing for a few days.
