Scratch & Dent

Aaron and I woke up bright and early on Memorial Day. We decided since we need some new furniture we would take advantage of all the holiday sales. Aaron told me to wear grungy clothes so the sales people would leave us alone. We have different shopping styles. We left the house by 8 o'clock and grabbed breakfast from McDonald's on our way. We didn't want to waste any time, only to find out that not one furniture store in Salt Lake opens before 10:00. Eventually, we found ourselves in the RC Willey Outlet Center Clearance section. This is where they stash anything that has a scratch or dent such as, all the damaged floor samples or returned furniture. The way I look at it, furniture is going to get scratched and dented in my house (a consequence of four-n-more) so, I don't care if it starts out with a scratch or a dent. My sister-in-law says I need a better attitude. I say, it's easy for her to have a better attitude, she only has two kids that are 5 years apart.

We were able to find a TV stand that holds our DVD's behind doors that Vanessa can't open (very important requirement) and a matching dresser & bed for Aaron and I. There is a small splash of paint on one of the drawers of the dresser. I'm grateful that we found it and received all the discounts that we did. When the kids have all moved out of the house, then I'll shop in a real furniture store. Until then, I'll be quite satisfied with my scratches and dents.
