Be Grateful

A friend I grew up with, died this week. I keep thinking, "I'm not old enough to have someone my age die of cancer". I know that I'm getting older, but thirty is still too young.

Marie leaves behind two little boys, ages 3 and 1. I pray for her family. This week has reminded me to be grateful. I have noticed the last few days, I am able to find a little more patience, a lot more hugs to give, and even more "I love you" moments. I have been reminded that life is short, my kids are growing up, and the bond that ties families together forever is priceless.

So sorry to hear about your friend. What a sad thing for the little ones, friends and family she left behind. Life definitely is so short....I agree with how important it is to let everyone we love KNOW that we love them.....all the time. Maybe that's why I hug people so much! ;-)

It's times like these that you remember what really matters in life. Hugs are great!
