Burgundy

There are a lot of things I like about our new house and a few things I don't. The previous owner's favorite color was burgundy so, they put burgundy carpet throughout the house.The living room, stairs, family room, and bedrooms (except the master, yeah!) all have the same color carpet. I hope the previous owners got a good deal on it. We are hoping it wears out quickly. A friend suggested that we become A&M fans, but that's not going to happen. We still have our burnt orange Texas room.
This carpet is terrible when it comes to showing dirt. I know it is a dark color but, all of the light colored particles (including blond hair strands) show up. Needless to say, I vacuum more than I used to. Hopefully my vacuum does not wear quickly.

I also want to show you the lovely wallpaper in the kitchen. It's just not my style, not even close.

I'll let you know when we get it painted. I think we will paint Savanah's room first since, she keeps asking me when we're going to paint her room pink.

This house has a long "To Do" list that we are slowly, but surely working on. We love the house even though we don't love the color burgundy.
