Saturday, we were with Aaron's family again. It was Lauren's 18th birthday. When I first met her she was only 3 years old. I can't believe how fast time goes by. We all had pizza and cake then headed off to her ballroom dance performance. All of her nieces loved the pretty dresses and watching her glide around the floor. Hannah, my 3 year old niece said to me, "Isn't she lovely?"

Girls Night Out
This last Friday, we had girls night out with all the girls in Aaron's family (we missed Lauren, who had to work). I had so much fun with my mother-in-law and sister-in-laws. It has been a long time since I have giggled that much in one setting. We realized as we paid for dinner that we all had the same last name. The poor waitress had a hard time sorting our cards.
When we left the restaurant we witnessed a drunk driver hit another car. It was horrible to see. Luckily, there were minor injuries with the four people involved. The drunk driver tried to run on foot away from the accident. Some bystanders took off after him and caught him. Does that make it a "hit and run"?

Aaron and his brothers were upset that someone would plan a dance recital when the Utah Jazz were playing in the NBA playoffs. We compromised and the guys left the recital early but, had to take all the kids with them. After the dance, we had girls night out again. Two nights in a row without kids. It almost seemed weird. This time we hurried home to fix Lauren's hair in an up-do (don't worry I just watched) so she would be ready to go to the prom in a neighboring high school.
You know that boutonniere thing is so awkward. She looked beautiful and her date was very nice. His drivers license was suspended due to speeding tickets and so they rode to the prom with his mom and dad. I'm sure that made the buotonniere seem like nothing.

I just think its sad that that is the picture you got of me getting ready to go to prom...what am i doing in that picture? sick!
Dear Anonymous,
First of all, in this picture you look gorgeous as always. Secondly, you were giving me the why-are-you taking-a-picture-now look. I took another picture but, found it to be to "posed". This one is far more candid, therefore, it got my vote so I posted on the world wide web. You probably would've voted for the other one. (I have the feeling I'm going to be in trouble when you see the other one).
Anyway, I hope you know that I love you dearly. I'm your biggest fan!
