A Trip to the Dentist

I took my girls to the dentist yesterday. Savanah sat very still and acted quite grown up. She really enjoyed wearing headphones as she watched a movie on a screen above her.

Vanessa was excited when it was her turn. She also acted like a big girl. She let the dentist exam and count her teeth than she asked for "orange teeth". (The polished they used to clean Savanah's teeth was orange flavored). The dentist said he normally doesn't clean a two-year-old's teeth, but since she was requesting it, he did it.

The highlight of the trip came when they were able to choose a toy from the treasure chest. Isn't that what going to the dentist is all about?

Your kids have an awesome dentist! My kids' dentist is okay, nothing special as far as personality goes, but he does good work. Who did you take them to when you lived here in the valley?

PS We're going to Sierra Vista, Arizona! I'll email you about it.

i hated going to the dentist as a kid. i think it had something to with our hometown dentist not having the best breath. thank goodness his son now has taken over some of the practice and he wears a mask. but sadly our old dentist still doesn't wear one.

truly, its all about the treasure chest. and also the laughing gas. that always seems to help

I'm glad his son wears a mask, but I think it would be hard to go to a dentist that we went to high school with. Weird.
