Warm Weather and Inspirations

When we lived in Texas, we lived in the area where older citizens would spends their winters enjoying the nice warm weather and mild temperatures.

Now, we live in the area where they spend their summers enjoying cooler weather and various outdoor activities. I guess we went from one extreme to the other.

On another note, there is popular Mexican restaurant in this area that boasts it's food is inspired from the Rio Grande Valley. I say, the next time the owners are being "inspired" they need to be eating a botana. "The Valley" does have some of the most amazing Mexican food along the border. It was called Tex-Mex and was a perfect blend of foods from Texas and Mexico. I could really be inspired sitting down to a huge beef botana and homemade tortillas. Ah, a las, there is no such thing here in the north.

I agree with you with the Mexican food. There is no such thing as good Mexican food anywhere else but like it is in South Texas. When we go to Edinburg, we love to eat a good botana.

I would think San Antonio would have good Mexican food, but there is nothing like a botana. I have to agree with you there.
