Labor Day

I started writing this post a week ago and just finished it. How sad is that?

When I think of the word "labor" neither workforces nor labor unions come to mind. Being a mother of four-n-more, it is no surprise when I hear the word "labor" I think of childbirth.
Why do we celebrate Labor Day? To reward ourselves for working so hard. So, all the mothers out there can say "Yippee!" We can celebrate "labor" day with everybody else.

Aaron and I worked all day on Labor Day. How fitting! We finished the paint-the-kitchen project we started last spring. My favorite part of the day was ordering out for lunch and dinner. It is not wise to cook in a kitchen with wet paint. (To bad we can't paint the kitchen more often. That was a nice little break.) This is what our kitchen looked like last week.
I would show you an "after" photo except our kitchen looks the same. The walls are a different color but, other than that......

I still need to do some touch-up on the paint (I'm such a perfectionist when it comes to that). Then when the kitchen is perfectly clean, I'll hurry and snap a photo because it only stays clean for about 3 minutes. Stay tuned for the finished product.
