My sister-in-law who studied interior design said even more hideous than the wallpaper was the trim around the laundry room door. I thought it was a toss up. They were both hideous.

I felt kind of bad because somebody had taken the time to hand paint the trim. I didn't feel bad enough to not paint over it.
I finally finished painting, striping, sanding, priming and re-painting the back door.
We have been happy with the results.
The End. (Not quite. I have to do a little touch up here and there.) Now we'll move on to painting the next room. After this project, I consider myself an experienced painter.

Hooray for home improvement projects! It looks awesome. Any other plans in the works?
Savanah insists on having her room painted next. I would prefer to do the living room and the study first. I'm hoping the room we just finished was the hardest room in the house to do. After all that, it's got to get easier, right?
Well, at least in the other two rooms you don't have to remove wall paper first, that will make a huge difference! My advice is to put a layer of primer down first, it just helps with the end product so much. Of course it does mean one more step, but the paint sticks better and tends not to wash off as easily (important when you have four 'n more). Someday I'll stop in and see all of your projects!
Aaron has taught me the joys of primer. I would rather do it right the first time than have to redo it later.
