Together Forever

This weekend was amazing! I can't even tell you how excited I am to write this post. I was in the temple with a close friend of mine as her family was sealed.
Aren't they a cute family? I can't wait for them to have their baby in August! Several months ago, Jana told Chad she wanted to go to the Temple as a family. He said, "Okay." They have been doing everything they needed to prepare. It has been wonderful to see the changes in their family. Love and excitement beam on their faces.
I was so nervous for her as she went to the temple for the first time. As I was wondering why this was, I concluded that Jana and I are really twins separated at birth. I think Jana and I share the same heart. I am truly grateful for her friendship and example. She is a great mom!
Jana, who loves music, has a song for everything. It is usually the first song she hears after a big event. While I was driving to the temple, the first song I heard on my Mormon Tablernacle Choir CD, was Love is Spoken Here. It is my song for this occasion.

I see my mother kneeling
with our family each day.
I hear the words she whispers
as she bows her head to pray.
Her plea to the Father quiets all my fears,
and I am thankful love is spoken here.

Mine is a home where every hour
is blessed by the strength of priesthood power
With father and mother leading the way,
teaching me how to trust and obey;
and the things they teach are crystal clear,
for love is spoken here

I can often feel the Savior near when love is spoken here.

I was sitting next to Makiah, their daughter, a few months ago in Primary. She turned to me with the biggest smile on her face and a twinkle in here eyes as she told me, "We have family home evening now!" This song reminds me of that moment and will always remind me of being in the Temple with this special family on their special day.

Makiah was so excited about her new white dress. She wouldn't allow anybody to see it before the Temple. (Everybody wears white in the temple as a symbol of purity.) She looked stunning!

Stockton, the typical two year old boy, took everything in stride and seemed to enjoy the day in spite of not really knowing what was going on. When the kids walked into the sealing room in the temple, there was not a dry eye. Everybody started to cry. It was amazing to see their family kneel at the altar to be sealed for time and all eternity through the sacred power of the priesthood.
I know families can be together forever. I am grateful for my eternal family. I'm thankful Chad & Jana let us be there on the day they became an eternal family.
