The Bags are Packed
Vanessa just informed me that in 3 hours she is going to Japan and it is going to be a long drive.
She is serious. She has every backpack and purse in her room packed. I asked her if I could go with her. She replied, "Yeah, I need you to. I need you to buy me cake." I've never even had Japanese cake. I think it will be a great trip. I'm just grateful she's letting me tag along.

Ask if I can tag along too.
I'm sure she would let you as long as you left a certain someone home.
That girl is hilarious! I thinks amongst all of her many career choices that she should be a writer, that girl is definitely NOT lacking on imagination!
Enjoy the trip. Can I come?
FYI, we learned from our Japanese students this summer that they hardly get cake because it is so expensive. They described to us that a small cake about the size of your open hand would cost around $50 bucks. Crazy!
Sorry there's nothing cute about my post, I just thought it was interesting that we take our cake mix for granted.

Denise-I'm sure anybody who is willing to endure the long drive is welcome to come.
El Presidente-I'm telling you right now, I am way too cheap to spend $50 on an itsy-bitsy cake. She'll have to think about another form of Japanese dessert.
Like you say, I bet there is never a dull moment in your home, specially with Vanessa. Too cute.
