The Bags Are Really Packed This Time

I realize I could have a blog only about life with Vanessa. She is my source of entertainment and bewilderment.

Monday nights in our church are reserved for Family Home Evening. A night when we gather as a family in love and harmony. Not always. Last night Vanessa ran away from home. She packed 4 shirts in her backpack and filled her Easter basket with a stuffed animal, scarecrow decoration, and a headband. (What more does a girl need?)

She informed me she wasn't sleeping with me anymore and walked out the front door. It was pitch black and literally freezing. Of course, she had no shoes and no jacket but she did have her scarecrow!

I brought her back inside which she wasn't very happy about until it was time for the treat. I wonder what tomorrow will bring......

Hey! I wish that I would have thought of a scarecrow and headband when I ran away!(I was 6 by the way!!) All I took with me was a purse with lip gloss and I was wearing a pair of HUGE clogs! I can't imagine why I went back home! Vanessa is a funny one!

I miss Vanessa on Sundays. She has sure come out of her shell. See walking home from church alone was preparing her for running away.
