I used to dream of a beautiful tree with matching ornaments and white lights. I gave up on the "dream" tree for the "perfect" tree.
The kids decorated the tree completely by themselves. The ornaments are all on one side. Vanessa added AJ's yellow karate belt to the tree. You may not know this but, every Christmas tree needs a karate belt. Aaron's parents always decorate their tree with candy. We hung candy canes on our tree and that lasted all of one day. The candy canes just mysteriously disappeared. The angel is missing from the top of the tree. Vanessa was seen playing with it so, I'm thinking I'll find it come September. Do you see Savanah's birthday present under there? I couldn't think of anywhere to keep a wrapped present this time of year. ( I took this photo weeks ago.) We also have two kittens running around the house that love to climb up inside of the tree.
Last of all, the perfect tree is now a very dead tree. Yep, I forgot to water it. The problem is, I'm not ready to take it down. I think I'll leave it up till the last needle has fallen. With the amount of needles all over my floor, I think it's shedding fast. It won't be long.

I love your perfect tree! We pick out a new ornament every year so the tree gets more and more "perfect" every year!! Your kids are so creative....love the karate belt! So glad you had a great Christmas! By the way...I am with you on keeping the tree up!! Mine doesn't come down until after the new year...not one day before!!
I had no idea there were 'tree vouchers'.. like turkey vouchers?? I was unusually excited that I got a FREE 18-pound turkey this year. With the prospect of a free tree-- maybe we'll go real next year!
(P.S. On a totally seperate subject.. I may be by to swap books. I've been done with the other forever.. but Christmas got in the way of my Twilight schedule..)
I loved the tree, mine looks just like yours except fake so we have to put it together every year! Ours is totally naked the bottom two feet because Zadie has taken all the ornaments off and broken them! And our cat does the same thing he goes up the middle and knocks every thing off last year he tipped the tree over! I'm so glad i'm not the only one with the perfect tree!
