The only problem was the fact that I really needed to go to the bathroom which was accentuated when I put my feet into the warm water, the chair massaging my kidneys, and the guy touching my ever so ticklish feet. I had to concentrate hard so I wouldn't have a knee jerk reaction and kick the guy in the face or worse, wet myself. In spite of all that, I had a lot of fun.

Footloose and Fancy Free
It was my sister's birthday on Monday. For her birthday, she asked my mom, sister-in-laws, and I to meet her for lunch and a pedicure. Without kids.
We enjoyed our lunch at a restaurant up Ogden Canyon. I especially liked the sweet potato fries. (In my mind, the extra vitamins cancel out all the fat.)
After lunch we headed off to Walmart for our pedicures, yep, I said Walmart. (I tell you Walmart has everything!) We lined up in our massaging chairs and were pampered like princesses. I'm a little embarrassed to admit it was my first pedicure. With four-n-more kids, I'm not used to being a pampered princess.
The questions always arises, what do I give the girl who is rich and single, and already has it all? Vanessa suggested I give her a toothbrush, which I did. I left my wallet home leaving me to borrow money from Laurann to buy her birthday gift/toothbrush. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of giving gifts? I paid her back the next day. (Sometimes I embarrass myself.)
All of us enjoyed our new fancy toenails and I hope Laurann enjoyed her birthday.

Pedicures are my favorite. get them much.. but anytime I can squeeze an extra $20 outta anywhere.. that's my first choice of indulgence. Something about your feet feeling so clean and smooth and shiny polished.. even if only for a week.. is so worth it.
Congratulations on your "first"!
(P.S. I also love new toothbrushes. And fancy toothpaste. Nice choice.)
