While on our mini-vacation last week, we also visited Virginia City, Nevada. An old mining town nestled up in the mountains above Reno.
Vanessa loved the fact that we were visiting a real "ghost town". She was certain we would meet up with Scooby Doo.
It was fun seeing what life was like in the past. Some of the sites were really interesting...
We stopped by a old-fashioned candy store.
The kids thought it was SWEET!
Vanessa is always willing to pose for the camera.
We visited the local graveyard. It had a lot of really old graves. Aaron was bummed they didn't list on the headstone what the person died from. He knew at least one person had to have died in a gun battle.
Vanessa was certain she heard a "Boo!" that didn't come from any member of our family. It must have been a real ghost! Where is Scooby Doo and those meddling kids when you need them?

Isn't it the neatest place? I remember when we lived in Reno my parents took us there and I thought it was great.
Candy stores are always a hit on vacation. Looks like a fun vacation.
