First Time for Everyone

Nobody in our family, including Aaron and I, had ever been to Disneyland. This was one of the main reasons for our trip. We wanted to see what all the hype was about. Savanah claims she was the only kid in her entire class that hadn't been to Disneyland. This was the first time for everyone.
Our first ride was Splash Mountain. They said all 7 of us could ride together if one adult rode in front and one adult rode in back with a child. Aaron nominated me to ride in front. I ended up getting DRENCHED! The next time around, I nominated Esteban to be an adult. He is taller than me you know.
Look at me screaming like a little girl! This is one of those cheap photos taken during the ride that only an insane person would spend $16 on. (It was just too good to pass up.)

The girls continued to pose throughout the park.
We forced the boys into some family photos.
This is the one and only picture of Aaron and I. (Proof that we really were there at the same time.)
The girls wanted to wear their Tinkerbell shirts for when they met Tinkerbell in Pixie Hollow.
They did not, however, want to meet the Disney Princesses. Instead, they chose to go on the the Tower of Terror. (Seriously, that broke my heart.)
Savanah loved it and Vanessa hated it. She said she will never, ever, ever, ever go on that ride again.

The rest of us had fun in Disney's California Adventure Park.
We rode the Grizzly Rapids ride and again, I was the only one in the family that got soaked. I have the worst luck ever! Vanessa did like this ride. She giggled the whole way through especially as I became more and more wet.
Vanessa rode around on Aaron's shoulders most of the time. The boys pointed out this is our family's own version of the Tower of Terror.
Here's our evaluation: As far as just pure roller coasters go, Fiesta Texas is the best. (I've heard that Six Flags in California has a lot of the same rides but, everything IS bigger and better in Texas. Just a fact.). As far as entertaining rides, Disneyland and California Adventure are the best. I loved the animation along the ride and the rides seemed to last forever. They were certainly entertaining.
Aaron and I liked Space Mountain. Ethan and AJ ranked the Tower of Terror at the top. The girls delighted in the treats.
Esteban loved our hotel's peep hole. What?
We spent our last night at Disney's Electrical Parade.
It was fun to see and we all enjoyed  seeing all the lighted floats.
Then we watched to fireworks over Disneyland.
By that point we were all exhausted. At the end of the day, we all felt like this.
We could have stayed another day but, by then we were DONE! We all voted to come home so we could have one day to recuperate before having to face the reality of  everyday life.

Fun! I love all the pictures. Space Mountain was my favorite too.

Disneyland is the best. Did you ride Soarin'? That one was my favorite. Chad loved Tower of Terror also!

So, was it worth the wait? Everything you dreamed it would be?
