When I discussed my dilemma with Aaron, his reply was, "She's only seven. We only have a few more years. What is it going to hurt?"
The very next day, an elf appeared. Our elf is a girl and we named her Crystal. She came with a letter explaining that she had been busy at the North Pole and just finished her work and was immediately assigned to our home.
One of the first places we found her was the butter churn. I like this girl after all.
It a good thing that elves clean up after themselves when they make messes.
She was tired one night after a long trip to the North Pole to report our behavior.
She even hung the garland on the banister. I was so grateful because if Aaron and I had to do all that work it was be a huge pain and would take a lot longer than we may have planned on.
For your information: You can never touch the elf or she will loose her magic. The girls put up a sign for the boys as a reminder.
Vanessa is certain that Crystal is a Mormon. I like the fact that she worships baby Jesus too.
We found her one night chugging chocolate milk in the pantry. This photo needs no explanation....
Savanah woke up to this message on her birthday.
Crystal had a funny side as well. She celebrated our 18th anniversary with us.
One morning Crystal came back from the North Pole with a note and a few toys. The kids had been particularly helpful cleaning up after the ward party the night before so Santa allowed her to bring a few things back early.
The night before she left she wrote another note reminding us to be good throughout the year and to remember the reason for the season.
In the end, we all enjoyed having Crystal in our home and we look forward to having her visit us again next year.
