Happy Valentine's Day

Who really likes Valentine's Day? I don't need a special day to be loved. I'm Air's Valentine all year long. I like the flowers, candy, and saying "Happy Valentine's Day". I felt happy when my mom called this morning to say that she loved me.

I went shopping last night and I couldn't believe how many people were in the store. Then, today in the school, I couldn't believe all the parents that send flowers, balloons, and stuffed animals to their children. This is elementary school people! Retailers like valentine's day.

The boys wrote their valentines for their classmates on Saturday. This morning we couldn't find Josephus's. He went to school in tears thinking he was going to be hated. I found them later in the corner where Nanny had taken them and ate the candy. She likes valentine's day. He does too, now that I took his valentine's to him.

Jaker's teacher told me the children in 1st grade were very excited today. She said it was worse than the day before Christmas break. They giggled all day. The boys were upset they received "girly" valentines from the girls. They were trying to figure out who liked who. She did not enjoy Valentine's Day.

Air is in class until 10:00 tonight. I invited my good friend to come over for dinner. Her husband died this past April. I don't want her to be lonely. I'm sure she does not like Valentine's Day this year. Hopefully, dinner turns out nice.
