Less-than-Three

We went to Idaho to visit Aaron's parents. The boys are going to stay with them for the week. Their grandparents are both school teachers and are home during the summers. The boys are very excited. It seems so different just to have the girls. Aaron has never been this outnumbered on the gender race before. I think it's good for him.

We were a few minutes late for church this morning. You would think with only two to get ready, we wouldn't have any problems. I guess we were just a bit too relaxed about it. Aaron has been the Bishop for the past 6 years and Branch President for 2 years before that. This meant that I got the kids ready, took them to church, and sat with them all by myself. For years, I have looked forward to the day that he was no longer sitting on the stand. Today, and with only 2 of the 5 kids with us, they both wanted to sit on my lap. Poor Aaron was sitting next to me completely helpless as they refused to have anything to do with him.

It seems so quiet after church. I'm sure the boys will do fine. I will miss them terribly. That's the thing about being the mother of four-and-more, anything less than that, just isn't the same.
