We took the girls out on a Sunday drive this evening. We are still exploring our new surroundings. We followed the road that runs past the apartment complex and soon found ourselves up in the mountains. I love this area because we are minutes away from the city and in the other direction, minutes away from the mountains. The views were spectacular.
Savanah's least favorite view was of the "deer's butt" (She picked this word up from her brothers, who picked it up from school and Spongebob. I guess that is one of the consequences of having older brothers). She thought the tail end was "disgustin" and giggled all the way home thinking about it.

I can't quite tell from the picture. Did you actually go up one of the canyons or were you just in the foothills? Do you know?
We went on the Herriman Hi-way that just kept going and going. I think we were pretty high up in the mountains. We finally just turned around because we didn't know where the road lead or how far it went. We need to buy a nice map of Utah and learn about our surroundings a little bit more. I'm not sure how the picture turned out because our monitor is really dark. Hopefully, the picture was as spectacular and the view.
Hmm, from that description my guess would be that you ended up Little Cottonwood Canyon..
Google Maps of the area
Somebody at work told Aaron that we were probably on the road that goes from Herriman, over the mountains, and to Tooele. We were on the opposite side of the Valley from Little Cottonwood, speaking of which, we still have so much exploring to do.
