Goodbye Washington

We loved Washington and were sad to leave. This is Crescent Lake on the pennisula.

We drove through the HOH rainforest. The boys were amazed that not all rainforests are tropical.

This is the Westhauser lumberyard in Aberdeen, Washington. This lumber yard is acres and acres. It makes me feel guilty for using so much wood and paper. I decided I need to do more to recycle. There are several places where logging companies posted signs with the year the trees were originally harvested (1985), when they were replanted (1986), and the next scheduled harvest (2036). I think companies have learned to be more responsible with managing our natural resources. Seeing the beauty of the forests, has made me appreciate them even more.
