Rexburg and the Farm

Last Friday, we went to Idaho to visit Aaron's parents. We enjoyed the fresh corn, cucumbers, and tomatoes from their garden. Aaron's dad made an amazing elderberry-apple pie. It has been ten years since we were here for harvest time. His parents are spoiling us with their garden. Savanah wore her "gown" and loved jumping on the trampoline in it.

On Saturday, we drove to Rexburg (home of BYU-Idaho) to visit with Aaron's cousins, some of whom, were visiting from Michigan. I have never one of his cousins, so that tells you how long it has been since Aaron has seen them. It was nice hanging out at his aunt's house and being with extended family. They are great people and we had a lot of fun.

This is the farm where Aaron spent every summer and Christmas while growing up. Our kids enjoyed looking around the farm and learning how a dairy farm works. They especially liked the new calves and petting a chicken. Savanah liked meeting other girl cousins. There aren't many girls cousins on this side of the family. I think she enjoyed the girl power. We had a great time and it was well worth the trip.
