Bishop Papa

Last week at his party, Aaron's Dad became really serious and told us he needed to tell us something that we couldn't tell anybody. Mike said, "What, Mom, are you pregnant?" We all found this comment quite amusing. She did not. She didn't even crack a smile. He proceeded to tell us that he had been called to be the Bishop in their ward.

We all went to Idaho this weekend to show our support. Vanessa loves her "Papa" and cried Saturday night when Papa didn't let her sleep with him. I guess he didn't get much sleep that night, so it's probably a good thing. Vanessa didn't understand why she couldn't have her Papa during church. She kept saying,"Papa, are you?"

I think he'll do a great job. He is an amazing man. I have great respect and admiration for him. I'm grateful we were able to be together as a family this past weekend.

His grandfather was Bishop once also. This makes Aaron a third-generation Bishop. I can't imagine any of the next generation in a leadership role? My boys are just a bit too sassy. Then, again Aaron wasn't an angel as a child. Then, again, he isn't as an adult either.
