Willy Winky

My mother-in-law gave us a video of nursery rhymes. One of them go like this:

Wee Willy Winky
Runs through town
Upstairs and downstairs
In his nightgown
Rapping on the windows
Crying at the locks
Are your children in their beds
Now it's eight o'clock?

After I read the girls their story last night, Vanessa stood up and said, "I'm Willy Winky. I need to go to town." She jumped off the bed, ran down the hall, around the kitchen table, and quickly returned. She was muttering something along the way but, I was laughing way to hard to understand what she was saying. Then, they both decided their pajama pants weren't good enough. They had to put on nightgowns. Savanah asked me, "Does Willy Winky have a wife?" I think she was planning an escape as well.

I have to admit they are creative. It didn't work however, they still had to go to bed. As I left the room I said, "Goodnight, Willy Winky." Vanessa informed me, "I'm not Willy Winky. I'm Nessa!"
