Medicine

I haven't posted on my blog for a while because I have been sick the past few days. I spent a lot of time in bed or on the couch. Vanessa was kind enough to make me breakfast in bed one day. I was so thankful!I think the kids have been quite happy that the mom is incapacitated. They have been able to play the computer, watch movies, and play video games as much as they wanted (I think part of them hopes I don't recover quickly). Vanessa has had full reign over the house which means her toys were all over the living room and kitchen. There was a tea party set up in the bath tub.

Yesterday, AJ and I were both diagnosed with pneumonia. Yep, pneumonia. Neither one of us are bad enough to be hospitalized which I am grateful for. We are both on high powered antibiotics and are hoping to fully recover in the next couple of days because Lauren's wedding is this Saturday. Esteban was worried about missing a soccer game so he wore a surgical mask all afternoon. (He ducked out of the room for some reason when I showed up with my camera.) Aaron caught an early flight home from his business trip. Then he stayed home from work to take care of us. He made the kids clean the house (With Ethan you would think he had been sentenced to fifty year manual labor in prison camp. He now hopes I recover quickly.)

Aaron made a drug run to the local pharmacy returning with all of our medications. He also bought me the second book in a series I have started recently. I read it in 24 hours. There's something about being bed ridden that makes it easier to finish a book. Anyway I hope we are on the mend. The fact that I'm writing a post for the blog is a good sign. I just hope it makes sense, well, as much sense as I normally make.

I just hope you and A.J. are feeling better. Good thing you didn't have to go to the hospital. I too, was sick for 10 with the flu, but nobody else in the family got sick (good thing). I bet Vanessa was a good little doctor taking care of mommy who was sick.

I'm sorry to hear that you've been sick. Pneumonia too, that's pretty bad! I also was sick with a bad bad cold a few weeks ago and developed my first sinus infection. Not fun, especially while being pregnant. I wish you a speedy recovery and that you don't miss the wedding!
