I received my first
pedicure last year, at the age of 33. Vanessa had her first pedicure last week, at age 5.
A good friend of mine, who cuts my hair, talked me into getting a pedicure while she has a special going on this month. She really had to do some convincing because I have a foot fetish. I think feet are dirty, smelly, and stinky. I deal with all kinds of nasty things as a nurse and feet are one of them. I wasn't excited about having a friend touch my feet. Candice was persistent and I finally gave in.
I made the appointment for Vanessa and I to get our hair done and thought Vanessa would sit and play my ipod while I got a pedicure. That didn't last one minute. She was far more interested in the pedicure. Next thing I knew, she had her feet in soaking with mine.
Then, she discovered the heated, massage chair.
She loved getting her feet lotioned and picking the nailpolish color for her toes. Then she insisted on getting her fingernails done as well. Here are the results.
All three of us had a good time. Candice didn't even charge me for Vanessa's pedicure so I gave a a big tip instead. Savanah was quite jealous. Now she wants to go next time. Vanessa is recruiting her friends to come along. Candice better start charging for a mini-pedicure soon. She's picking up business from the little princesses who think you're never too young to start.

How fun a little pampering never hurt anyone. And you deserve to pamper yourself once in a while even if you have a foot fetish. It sounds like fun.
That is awesome! I tell that to my kids all the time (going to Hawaii for example--I was over 20 my first time, my kids were all in single digits still!; skiing; pedicures; the list just goes on and on). I'm glad you broke down and finally got a pedi--are you hooked now? It makes you feel like such a girl, I love it! And can I just add, I am REALLY jealous of your feet, so pretty, non-deformed, non-scarred, they look fabulous!!! And I really like Nessa's hair--cute bangs line.
Pedicures are my favorite indulgence hands down! (Or should I say.. FEET, down??) Sophie went once, and was hooked. I actually got one the other day while she was at pre-school and when she found out, was genuinely offended I had dared go without her.

Glad that your foot fettish is that bad anymore :) the toes turned out cute and I bet it was really fun!
